Boxing day started off slowly. I had originally told everyone to be ready for 6:30am so we could be at the mall as it opened at 7am. Then, with some coaxing, I changed it to 8:30am, but right on the dot! so I would still beat the traffic. Needless to say, while some people woke up right on time, I slept in, and set us off to a late start.
We arrived at the mall by 10:30am, which was still early enough to find parking and beat the lines. We quickly breezed through Sephora (no sales), flew past Lululemon (really, no sales), spent a little more time in LaSenza, then hit up a few more stores. On our way out, lines were beginning to form, and I’m glad we shopped at the time we did. Afterward, we stopped by Best Buy and the outlet mall. It felt like we shopped 9-5, with a quick half hour lunch, and while I am happy with what I purchased, the sales, but more importantly, the lack of product, was very disappointing. Overall, this year’s boxing day was a bit of a flop.
First stop: Sephora! No, there weren’t any sales (three things actually were on sale, but they were the three things no one wanted), but you know I had to pick up some of the new Fenty matte lipsticks! I purchased the colour PMS, which is a dark brown, and Freckle Fiesta, which is a bit of a muted orange on me.
I am so happy to have this next item! This high-waisted thong I purchased from LaSenza is seamless and borderless, and it will be great to wear under dresses, or any other formfitting clothes I may wear.
Trying to stock up for my new sporty style, I stopped by Champs and picked up some nice sweatpants! Finding my size was difficult, as these are men’s sweatpants, and we weren’t allowed to try anything on, but it ended up working out nicely in the end.
I literally only purchased three things at the mall, and this was due to a combination of no sales and no cute things. So we left, and went to Best Buy, where I ordered a GoPro! By this time, we were all so hungry we were shaky, so we stopped and got lunch, but quickly, for we had more shopping to do!
At the outlet mall, my first purchase was from Aldo. I bought a gold chain bra. I’m not sure how I’m going to style it yet (I might just wear it as is) but I will keep you posted!
We stopped by Guess and a couple other stores, but the only other store I made a purchase from was Puma, where I bought an olive green pair of sweatpants, and also an olive green pair of leggings.
We finally went home, and I honestly felt like I had run a marathon. Still, I had enough energy left in me to make a couple online purchases. I bought a crop top and black skinny jeans from Fashion Nova, and I bought a black shaggy weekender bag from Dolls Kill. When those arrive, I will let you know!
