I do absolutely love a good makeup product! Makeup is fun to play with from time to time, but the most important makeup of all is skincare! Your skin is the original foundation, and it’s important to feel good in your own skin before anything else. Personally, I feel the most beautiful makeup free, but sometimes my skin doesn’t want to cooperate. I’ve gone through a lot of different products to find what works best for me, so I can feel absolutely beautiful and glowing, makeup free. Here is my recipe for the perfect no makeup face.
After cleansing, I pat my face dry. Then I add quite a few drops of my favourite skincare product, the Sephora Collection Ultra Glow Serum: Glow + Strengthen Vitamin C Serum. Vitamin C works absolute wonders, brightening your skin and getting rid of dark spots like no other product! Any vitamin C product will do the trick with consistent use, but unlike other skincare brands, Sephora Collection works wonders on a budget as well! I apply a generous amount (one full dropper) to my face and neck.

Next, I apply eye cream. Again, I was looking for an eye cream that would specifically help with my very dark under eye bags, and combined with the vitamin c serum, Saturday Skin Wide Awake Brightening Eye Cream with Avocado really does the trick! In the future, I will be looking for a more affordable brightening eye cream, most likely from Sephora Collection, however, the Saturday Skin eye cream has lasted months, and I still have months more to go, as I only need to use a very small amount each day.

Finally, I seal these two products in with my body lotion. I know there is a lot of debate around this topic: should you use a lotion specifically for your face. My answer is: do whatever works for you! Personally, my skin is not sensitive to most products at all, and it can get very dry especially in the colder months, so I like to use really heavy moisturizing products on my face. I have even used Vaseline on my face and had no problems!
So there you have it, my recipe for perfect, glowing skin. After these three steps, don’t forget the most important makeup of all: a smile!
Peace and love!
