I’ve been doing a few teeny tiny hauls lately. I find I prefer them to large hauls, where I order anything I like, instead of focusing on ordering pieces I can add to my wardrobe. Large hauls just bring too much clutter, too much clothing I never end up wearing. This little haul, however, was a bit of a flop:
I recently watched a Zaful haul on YouTube, and I clicked on the exact links of the items I ended up purchasing. After waiting weeks for my items to arrive (which I expected) they ended up looking absolutely nothing like I saw in the video, or on Zaful’s website.
This one is a really popular sweater, and it looks about the same on most people, except for YouTubers (it looks amazing on YouTubers). It was a one-size-fits-all, so I knew it wouldn’t fit perfectly, but I guess I just expected it to be a little more of a baggy, long-sleeved fit. In reality, the tassels need to be cut, the sleeves have to be rolled up because they are extremely short, and it really is a poor attempt at a “frayed sweater” kind of look. Still, I think I can make this one work. Maybe.
The second piece I got from Zaful was this sweater with tiered sleeves. Technically, this one looks like it does in the picture. The problem for me is the FIT, which is so gross. It just does not give me a single shape. Not one. Also, I never wear a bra, EVER, and this sweater doesn’t really seem to be working with my breasts, so. I had to give this one to my mom.
The last piece I purchased from Zaful was a skirt that I cannot show in this blogpost, because I can’t pull it up past my derriere. I ordered a large, when I usually wear a small or medium, just because it’s easier to make a skirt smaller rather than larger. However, I can only wear the skirt around my knees, so I really don’t know what to say about the sizing on Zaful’s website except no.
Finally, I tried my hand at a piece from Dolls Kill, which is a site I LOVE! I find if I’m not wearing it exactly right, it’s the lamest top on Earth. Other than that…it’s CUTE! I love the sleeves, and the asymmetrical neckline (if worn properly). This is the only win in this teeny tiny haul.
