Happy this Halloween!

Halloween was almost the biggest waste-of-money flop of all time. I had already wasted all of my money trying to diy a costume, and it just wouldn’t come together. The day before Halloween, my sister and I threw in the towel; it was over. But I ran into someone who said Halloween night was going to be lit, and I ran home to tell my sister it was time to whip something up. Halloween day, after work, we bought some last minute supplies, rushed home, and diy’d with every fibre of our beings. My sister slayed our makeup looks (@beatbymaia on Instagram)! We threw on some black dresses, and went out. I have to say, it was such a great night, I’m so glad I refused to let Halloween die. Just the time spent putting ourselves together, and the very short time we spent dancing the night away, put us on cloud nine. Don’t give up on a chance to have fun, even for a minute.

This Medusa costume was made with plastic snakes, a headband, hot glue and contact lenses. The dress was purchased decades ago at Boom Boom the Label, which is now called AYM.

The contacts were trouble, but overall, it was a good night!
