New Year’s Eve is only a day away! Looking back on 2017, for me, it had it’s highs (bought my first car, met amazing family in the U.S. Virgin Islands) and lows (hospitalized for suicide attempt, generally the saddest year of my life). With the new year coming up, I refuse to fall into the new-year-new-me trap I’ve fallen into for the past ninety years. But I also refuse to believe that everything is just going to be the same. Instead, I’m going to continue doing what I’m doing, and be hopeful about it. After all, I do believe I am, very slowly, getting better. While the ideas of success are all amazing, the process of feeling better is the best thing I could ever ask for.
This first outfit is for a sexy New Year’s Eve party. Perhaps at a club?! The stretch satin material gives it a sophisticated look, so it can still be fancy. I paired it with a red lip, and thick heels to avoid looking like a baby deer!

The next outfit is a little more subdued, perfect for a dinner party or a relaxed family gathering. I paired it with nude lips, a gold choker, and black pumps.

This dress is very cute and frilly, perfect for a party, or anything really! The neckline is very unique, and I paired it with a rhinestone choker (with lace frills), red lipgloss, and white heels to match.

This last look is for those who want to look like the New Year’s Eve ball itself: a fully sequined dress! You may as well be the very life of the party so everyone will remember your look all the way into next year! I paired this dress with a matte red lip (Fenty 4eva!), black heels (on the strappy side), and if you’re going to wear a sequined dress, please just go all out and add the sparkly kitten ears!

Happy New Year everyone! Emphasis on happy.
